Empress by Alma Alexander6/26/2023 ![]() ![]() This is my second Siobhan Waring book, and just like the first, she narrates beautifully. In many instances you could see life in ancient Rome and Greece as the characters tried to live and survive through this time with all it's harsh realities. I loved the characters, and felt their struggles. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoyed these sort of period pieces. Alexander is a talented writer whose style harkens back to an earlier time. That said, it was a very good story, and obvious that Ms. And, too much time trying to figure out what was happening with each character as they were slowly developed. ![]() There were too many instances of telling instead of showing that slowed the pace and stagnated. And, while I liked the story, it was a bit too long when it didn't have to be. ![]() It was my first experience with Alma Alexander. ![]()
